Sophocles's background The son of Sophilus, the owner of a successful weapons factory, Sophocles was born c. B.C.E. in Colonus near Athens, Greece. He grew up during the most brilliant intellectual period of Athens.
    The aim of this paper is to study the main macroeconomic, financial and structural factors that shaped current account developments in Greece over the period.
Sophocles was an ancient Greek poet and one of three ancient Greek tragedians whose plays have survived. His plays belonged to the period after Aeschylus and earlier of Euripides.
